The Ear and Balance Institute offers one of the most comprehensive and complete evaluations of inner ear disorders you will find anywhere in the country.  We offer all the traditional audiologic and vestibular testing as well as many unique, cutting edge technologies found in only a handful of major centers around the world.  Additionally, the Ear and Balance Institute offers the expertise of one of only a handful of medical practices in the country dedicated solely to the specialty of Otology, Neurotology and Skull Base Surgery.  Our physicians have a combined 60 years of medical experience.  Our audiologic services include comprehensive audiometric testing, impedance testing, evoked potentials (including ABR, MLS, ECoG, and VEMP), otoacoustic emission testing, sound field testing, central auditory testing, Otogram audiologic testing, hearing aid services and comprehensive cochlear implant evaluations.  The vestibular testing includes Video ENG (including positional testing, Dix-Hallpike testing, Caloric irrigations, Tullio testing, Valsalva testing, Hennebert's test, and Oculomotor evaluation), Vestibular Autorotation Testing, Rotational Chair Testing (including Sinusoidal testing, Step Test, Comprehensive Oculomotor testing), Computerized Dynamic Platform Posturography, Platform Pressure Test, Tympanic Membrane Displacement Analysis for intracranial pressure measurement, Dynamic Visual Acuity Testing, and the Epley Omniax multi-axial positioning device.  Facial nerve tests available include Electroneuronography, Blink Reflex Testing and Electromyography.  Additionally, our physicians have worked closely with Neuropsychologists in neuropsychological testing, particularly in traumatic brain injury cases.
